I have been a scratch golfer for over 40 years and have played around the world on some of the very best courses, and this is one of my favorites for a myriad of reasons. The staff, ease and pace of play and the course and its condition make the drive from Buffalo insignificant. I tout this course a lot and several of my buddies agree wholeheartedly after they have played it, as well.

    Keep up the great work!!

Challenging, gorgeous, affordable… What more do you need to know? Staff is kind, courteous, knowledgable, and extremely generous. I will be a member for life. Greens have been running fabulous this year and the course is maturing wonderfully around the edges. Thanks to the entire staff at WWGC for providing such a wonderful playground for us.

  3. Pete Z Says:

Greens and fairways are coming in very nicely. This is the prettiest course
in NW Pa. In fact, if you play the full set of tees, it’s like playing four different courses. Great staff and pro. A real GOLF club, not a country club.

Love the course, people, etc but that short hole on the front is a disaster. Please put in drainage. I literally lost a shoe in the muck and got messy retrieving it. Mars an otherwise great course.

  5. Rich Rocky Says:

    Hi All,
In response to the email concerning #4 fairway. We totally understand your concerns and work is in progress to fix the ongoing drainage problem. We appreciate the kind words concerning the golf course and hope to have the problem fixed very soon.

Love the course , really maturing nicely ! Pro Shop staff is the best I’ve ever seen. Any updates on a Club House ? Club House would really complete a great golf experience. C.

I’ve had 2 people tell me WW is as good or better then upper peak. After playing WW for the 1st time 7-23 I am stunned at the layout, the terain, and how well they blended the course into the terain without messing the ecosystem. Great job designer and Rich R really is the best head pro around.

My wife and I came for our 40th anniverary/golf getawayduring our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, and we were tremendously impressed with your course. It was absolutely beautiful,as was the weather. What a terrific experience. We were treated great by everyone, and the golf course was beyond our expectations…challenging, in great shape(in spite of all the recent rain), and the deer at dusk, what a picture perfect ending to a great visit. We hope to come again, and bring friends this time to share our experiences. I hope they are up to the challenge, and ready for the the course. A nicer clubhouse would certainly enhance the enjoyment!

My buddies and I come to WWGC every year for a get away golf weekend . As usual the course humbles us with its challenging layout however, one shot among the 100 I took this day will always be remembered as we watched my ball roll across the 14th par three green and disappear into the cup for my first hole in one. How did I hit the other 99 shots on this day ? Who cares. What a great memory of a lifetime. Love this place

Spent last weekend at Whispering Woods and couldn’t be more satisfied! The staff was very helpful (special thanks Kaitlin) and the course was fantastic. There really isn’t a dull hole on the course. Every shot requires your attention as there is a lot of trouble to be avoided. Can’t wait to get back as we are planning on making Erie our yearly golf destination!

I think your coarse is one of the most beautiful coarses that I’ve seen, even with the UNFORSEEN hazards I enjoyed my round, I see nothing but further improvements as time goes by, I’ll be back, soon as I go buy more balls!!! It’s a tight coarse that makes you use your mind not just brawn.

  14. Joel Stojkovic Says:

My buddy and I drove in on our way to Akron for the PGA event and couldn’t have been more impressed. I happened to stumble on this course online and thought for the price it would work out. We were blown away. The tee boxes, the fairways, and greens were immaculate. For the price, I would almost consider driving the two and a half hours just to play! Not only that, the neighborhood this course is situated in is gorgeous. I highly recommend this course! What a stunner!

  15. WW Fan Says:

Played over the weekend and our group decided to treat all traps as ground under repair.

Not sure what is going on with the fluffy crappy conditions of the traps, but they are terrible. Stop raking them to marshmallow level fluffiness.

As your email address was returned I am writing through the feedback area.

I am writing this letter to thank you for your support in last year’s WNY Funeral Directors Golf Outing. The foursome was a great addition to our silent auction and as part of the foursome that came to play all I can say is WOW…As only a funeral director I will say if I had the money, I would buy the course in a heartbeat. It was a great challenge and well worth the drive from Buffalo and one of the most fun I have had playing in a long time. At our outing, we donated all of our proceeds to the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Christmas in July event. This event brings presents to those children in the hospital at the end of July. In only our second year, we raised over $3,000.00 and purchased hundreds of toys and crafts for the Child Life division at the hospital and distributed them with NYS Assemblyman Ray Walter , who chaired the toy drive, Sabretooth, Santa Claus and Cinderella. This year we are looking at upwards of $5,000.00 with an increased number of golfers and more local support from the area. Our Outing is going to be held July 8, 2015, again at the Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course. A repeat donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your support and we wish you continued success in 2015 and if the Western PA Funeral Directors have their outing there, I’ll be sure to come down! Thanks again for your time.

I golfed on Thursday at Whispering Woods. I left my cellphone in my cart. Later around 7:30 when I realized it, I zipped over. The Pro Shop attendant, a fellow with a Gannon Golf Team Shirt, was at the driving range locking up. I explained what had happened. He was kind enough to drive all the back to the clubhouse, unlock, unalarm the shop, and retrieve my phone. What a nice person. I thought how typical of the people who work there!
